Italeri - ESCI
Italeri have been making 1/35 kits and aircraft in 1/72 for many years. Then they bought up the old ESCI range of 1/72 kits when that company folded. Again, these show their age a bit against current standards of kit production but this is overall an excellent range. I for one am glad to see Italeri steadily re-releasing them. Then if that wasn't enough, they have started to prduce their own new kits. Firstly some simplified war games models, usually with 2 kits per box, but also some full kits which have the same delicate parts they have always had a name for. The JS2 for example is available as a new kit, and in the simplified wargames format. Most recently they have turned to some Italian subjects, with the AB41 and the Sahariana. I look forward to their new releases as they come along.
There is just no substitute for visiting the real battlefields of WW2 in Europe if you have an opportunity to do so.
