Hasegawa
Hasegawa started quite early with 1/72 armour models, and again some original subjects chosen, and again, some kits better than others. Their M4A3E8 was a disappointment for being somewhat over scale but the High Speed tractor and the Long Tom were welcome. Those early kits don't stand up especially well against current standards. However, in recent years they have turned their hands to a few new kits. These include the Sdkfz 251 Ausf D in 3 versions, the Jagdpanzer IV and the Sdkfz 234 series of 8-wheeled armoured cars. These are all delightful, high quality models which are worth looking out for.
There is just no substitute for visiting the real battlefields of WW2 in Europe if you have an opportunity to do so.
