Fujimi

Fujimi

Fujimi were one of the earliest Japanese manufacturers to produce injection moulded 1/76 kits. Leter on they also took on the Nitto range as well. The original kis, though dating from the 1970's, are still of a high standard in my view. The early Sdkfz 251 Ausf B, the Pz 38t and the Hetzer were my favouries. Add to this King Tiger, Elephant, Matilda, Valentine, Japanese tanks and more, they are still good. Very few more recent releases, though a new Tiger 1 is excellent, as was the JS2, which incorporates the sag in the top run of track (see the photo). The old Nitto kits were a bit mixed, some good, some not quite so. They stood out for having some interior details, both in engine and crew compartments.

There is just no substitute for visiting the real battlefields of WW2 in Europe if you have an opportunity to do so.
