Bovington - The Tank Museum
Bovington is the home of the Royal Tank Regiment, and also home to the Tank Museum. With numerous events through the year, Tankfest is my favourite, but others do go on. In the museum itself see Little Willie, the first tank, their famous Tiger I which is now a runner, and both types of King tiger. It is without doubt one of the finest collections in the world.
There is just no substitute for visiting the real battlefields of WW2 in Europe if you have an opportunity to do so.
