Battlefields and Museums
This section has pages about a number of particular museums and battlefield sites. The pictures used here are intended to illustrate the real cost of any war, and remind you of the many cemeteries where the casualties are buried. Illustations here come from Normandy. The US Cemetery at Omaha, the German cemetery at La Cambe, and in the IWGC Jerusalem Cemetery, where the youngest known British soldier killed in Normandy is buried.
There is just no substitute for visiting the real battlefields of WW2 in Europe if you have an opportunity to do so.
